In late May, the ACA partnered with Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Charleston County School District, the Baptist Hill Community Education Program, and Half-Moon Outfitters to provide an Outdoor Nation Paddle Nation Project to a group of middle school students from rural Charleston County.
Entitled
"Empowering Youth--Learn, Paddle, Serve," this 2-day program combined stewardship lessons with on-water paddling instruction to educate future generations of paddlers and river advocates.
