Sierra Magazine’s 6th Annual Paddling Issue The Biggest Yet

San Francisco, CA – Sierra Magazine and the Sierra Club once again show their support for the paddlesports industry in the May/June Sierra Magazine – the 6th Annual Paddling issue. The special paddling section of the magazine is written by industry leader, Darren Bush – the owner of Madison, Wisconsin’s Rutabaga, the country’s largest paddlesports retailer, and Canoecopia, the country’s largest paddlesports consumer show. Darren’s article is about the joys and lessons learned when paddling solo and with a partner.

The May/June issue also features Sierra’s 5th annual paddling sweepstakes featuring a travel adventure from Caravan Vacations, a complete paddling outfit from NRS, an Advanced Frame sport kayak, a SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger and Adventure Kit, a Werner kayak paddle and a set of SeaLine dry bags. To enter, go to www.sierraclub.org/paddlesweeps.

Additional paddling-related editorial includes an article on the fight to protect the Flathead river and surrounding valley in northwest Montana -- and reviews of eight new kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard models by Eugene Buchanan and Dave Shively.

About Sierra Magazine: SIERRA is the official publication of the Sierra Club, the exclusive media sponsor of Canoecopia - the largest paddlesports expo in the U.S. - and a member of the America Canoe Association, Conservation Alliance, Outdoor Industry Women's Coalition, and the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA).
