Blind Adventurer Erik Weihenmayer Attemps to Kayak the Colorado River


Erik Weihenmayer knows no fear. Considered one of the most accomplished blind athletes in the world, Weihenmayer has a list of accomplishments most people can only conceptualize. 



His resume includes climbing Mt. Everest, marathon runner, acrobatic skydiver, ice climber, and completing the Seven Summit.  In 2013, Weihenmayer plans to add kayaking the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon to his already impressive list of achievements  Weihenmayer is currently training for his kayak adventure at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, N.C. with Casey Eichfeld and Pablo McCandless, both former Olympic paddlers. 

The ACA whole-heartily supports Weihenmayer in his attempt to paddle the Colorado River.
